			<title>Our School at a Glance</title>
			<link>http://warweastss.eq.edu.au/wcmss/index.php/Latest/Our-School-at-a-Glance.html</link>
			<description>
Situated in the eastern suburbs of Warwick on the Condamine River, our school provides a co-educational education from Prep to Year 7 for around 302 students from Warwick as well as the surrounding rural area. These students comprise of 26 enrolments in Prep and 276 Primary enrolments.
The Warwick East State School facilities are comprised of Primary, Special Education Unit and Prep facilities on one campus. The school has a long history dating back to 1850, making it the oldest school in Queensland. The National Building, one of the original buildings, is heritage listed.
Classrooms are a mix of new modular rooms as well as refurbished rooms in older buildings. A new Special Education Unit caters for students with disabilities. A purpose built Prep building was completed in 2006 heralding a new era of education with the Prep year. A superbly equipped Early Education Centre provides for Prep. Other facilities include a science/art room and tuckshop.
The resource centre houses the school's library collection as well as a lab of computers. Another hub of computers are located in the upper school classrooms with all classes having access to computers in their room. Internet access is provided to all classrooms.
Warwick East State School is situated on picturesque, spacious grounds that include extensive playground equipment under shade, spacious playing fields, practice cricket pitch, multi-purpose court and tennis practice board. The recent construction of an Under Cover Learning Area situated near the playground overlooking the oval has further enhanced our facilities.
